Australian brothers setting sky-high standards in the aviation industry

Australian brother duo, Trenten and Courtney Ralph, are leading the flock in the Australian aviation and defence industry, creating innovative processes and a solutions-focused team with their Gold Coast-based business, Aero Defence.

Aero Defence tracks aviation and defence businesses’ needs in real-time, storing much-needed parts in their purpose-built warehouse in Carrara.

The brothers have built a small but mighty team, with a customer-focused drive that ensure they stay accountable to each other and their clients. Today, Aero Defence is made up of 15 staff based out of its state-of-the-art warehouse, the fifth in Aero Defence’s growing operations.

“The team at Aero Defence are solution-focused at heart and are willing to move heaven and earth to ensure our customers get what they need when they need it,” Trenten said.

“Unlike many other businesses, any Aero Defence team member can help you with any issue, which means less waiting around and getting the solution now.”

Aero Defence was first flighted from humble beginnings in 2008 with a team of one - Trenten Ralph. Trenten had spent a decade working in the defence industry in Melbourne, experiencing first-hand the issues that come from ordering parts from overseas due to supply chain challenges. His motivation was simple; offer the Australian defence and aviation industry a better, more reliable service.

Four years later, Courtney Ralph joined his brother in Southport on the Gold Coast, bringing with him a knowledge of international business and CRM systems that accelerated the business’ growth.

Today, Aero Defence operates from a warehouse with more than 1500 square metres of purpose-built inventory management infrastructure. It’s team with expert knowledge and a passion for the industry able to meet the needs of its growing customer base who rely on material being stored locally and dispatched quickly.

“From the moment a customer contacts us, the team is with them every step of the way – from obtaining the order to tracking the delivery to shipping to from our warehouse within our quick delivery times,” said Trenten.

“We shifted from ordering parts for customers on a needs basis to ordering and storing key products in our warehouse 11 years ago, which has helped us grow immensely.”

Through its dedicated and passionate team, Aero Defence has attracted a loyal customer base that includes some of the biggest names in the industry, including Boeing and the Australian Defence Force.

On partnering with Aero Defence, the Zip-Chem team said they are confident their Australian customers will receive exceptional customer experience and have easier access to Zip-Chem products.

“Aero Defence aligns with Zip-Chem’s value of customer experience by providing excellent support with superior service, constant communication and reliable delivery every time.”

Aero Defence General Manager Courtney Ralph said the team will continue to grow and strive for more innovative and personalised solutions over the coming years.

Senior staff who support the Ralph brothers to drive results within the organisation are Jordan Croghan, Quality and Operations Manager, who’s been thriving at Aero Defence for the last 7 years since first taking a job in administration, and Mark Fisscher, Aero Defence Regional Sales Manager ANZ who moved to the company from Boeing three years ago.

“As we grow, our onboarding experience for staff will remain this same - on-the-ground training ensuring a comprehensive understanding of our business and what we value – being trusted, reliable and solutions-focused,” said Courtney.

“Our customers can be assured they will continue to receive the great, small team customer service as we continue to grow.”
