Aero Defence launches innovative online search tool

MEDIA RELEASE

Leading procurement company Aero Defence has launched an innovative online product search tool to increase the speed and efficiency of its service and enhance customer experience as part of a brand and website overhaul.

Through the company’s new-look website aerodefence.com.au users can search for more than one million components and spare parts online simply by keying in a product description or item number. Once items are located they are automatically added to the ‘Your Inventory’ enquiry form which can then be sent immediately to Aero Defence’s customer service team for quick response and delivery.

Through the website customers can also request any product they can’t see listed online and Aero Defence will track it down through its network of manufacturers and suppliers. Aero Defence director Trent Ralph says the company, which has become a market leader for procurement to aerospace, defence and general aviation, launched the tool to enhance its online service. “As a support crew, parts department and logistics team, we are an extension of our customers’ supply chain and our ability to deliver high quality products fast is fundamental,” Mr Ralph says.

“We’ve got more than a million products in stock and through our global network and access to millions more but customers need to know we’ve got the one they’re after and the confidence we can deliver it to them fast.

“They now have the opportunity to identify the product they need themselves online or make an enquiry if they can’t find it, knowing that our customer service team will respond immediately with a confirmation call.

“They could be standing on the tarmac or in the workshop and order it right there and then – this is pretty important to our customer, particularly as they become more tech savvy.” The company uses FedEx for international freight from Europe or the United States and Startrack to deliver items domestically.

An emphasis on customer service and its certified AS9120 Quality Management System have seen the company develop strong ties with clients including Airbus, Boeing and Northrop Grumman.
